For those of you who work at the University of Iowa, you recently received an email from President Mason inviting you to join the United Way Campaign to support local charitable organizations. Because Good Shepherd Center is a 501(c)(3) agency, it is one of the agencies that you can support through United Way. If you support United Way, and would like to designate GSC to receive some portion of your donations, you can follow these easy steps:

1) Proceed to the Human Resources self-service site: http://hris.uiowa.edu/selfservice/. Click on Charitable Giving.
2) Click on Start a Deduction through the United Way or Any Other Non-Profit.
3) Click on the option, "I wish to allocate money to specific charities within the United Way or any other 501(c)(3) charity.
4) This will bring you to a menu where you can TYPE IN "Good Shepherd Center" in a blank box at the top of a list of agencies. Then just designate how much money you wish to donate. NOTE: The amount you type in is a MONTHLY donation.

That's all there is to it! For those of you interested in donating to multiple agencies, you can support GSC while also donating to other agencies as well. Just fill in how much you wish to donate on a MONTHLY basis next to each agency. The amount will be deducted on a monthly basis from your pre-tax income from the University.
